Justice For Justin

Donation protected
Justin and I recently completed a 370 mile bike ride from Pittsburgh to Washington D.C. with some close friends. Along the way, Justin explained to me the sentimental importance of the $1500 bike he was riding, and that it meant a great deal to his father. The reason that he rode the bike he did, he told me, was that the other bicycle his family bought had been stolen at his brother’s college just months before. After finishing the 10 day trip, our group went to Georgetown for a celebratory dinner. Justin made sure to lock his bike up, but the good feelings and high spirits were abruptly dampened when we walked out of the restaurant and found the bike lock snipped and the bike itself stolen. What spoke volumes for Justin’s character was the fact that his first thoughts were of his father and how he could repay him for the bicycle he had borrowed. As a high school student, you can imagine how difficult it will be for him to raise $1500 without the help of his friends and compassionate members of the community, so please lend a hand in the form of a small donation; even $10 to $20 will go a long way to save an innocent and kind kid from the financial burden of a cruel theft.
