Multiple people have asked about making monetary donations in honor of Alex. At this time, the family is still determining the exact conservation organization they will donate to. Initially, we are hoping to raise the funds to cover the cost of ordering the memorial shirts we will be selling. All funds will go to the organization of the family's choice in Alex's name. About Alex Apps:
Twenty five year old William Alexander Apps was viciously and senselessly murdered on October 3, 2013....the victim of real-life CraigsList killers. Alex listed his 2006 Silverado truck on CraigsList, hoping to sell it. After weeks of communication and negotiation between Jquan Scott and Alex, the pair arranged to meet in Charleston, SC to finalize the sale. Alex's mother, Agatha Apps met Alex in Charleston on that fateful Thursday to deliver the title, with every anticipation of the sale going well. After Mrs. Apps left, Alex met Jquan "Q" and his friend, Issac Williams at Hardees in Charleston. While exact details are not available at this time, we do know that Alex was shot in the truck and then his body was dumped in a wooded area. Police confirmed that the debit card belonging to Alex was used to make purchases after his death in Beaufort, SC meaning the killers returned to Alex's hometown after killing him.
Police were in contact with the suspects and on Monday, October 7, 2013, Jquan "Q" Scott led authorities to the body of Alex Apps that was dumped cold-heartedly in the woods.
