 Our family is asking for help during one of the most difficult times we have ever faced. My father Hector Zelaya has been detained by ICE during a search warrant at “El Corralon.” There wasn’t an arrest warrant placed but my father has an active Visa and has lived in Memphis for 21 years.

 Hector is more than just my stepfather he is the man who raised me, supported me, and has been there for me since I was three years old. He has been a father to me in every way that matters.

 We are urgently trying to hire an experienced immigration attorney to review his active visa case, understand the circumstances surrounding his detention, and determine what legal options may be available to him. Every donation will go toward attorney consultations, legal representation, filing fees, and other necessary expenses related to his case.

 Aproximadamente a la 1:00 de la madrugada del domingo 30 de agosto de 2026, fue detenido durante la ejecución de una orden de registro en el establecimiento “El Corralón”. Según nuestro entendimiento, la orden estaba relacionada con el registro del lugar, y no sabemos que existieran órdenes de arresto contra los clientes que se encontraban dentro. Sin embargo, mi padre fue detenido.

 Un poco sobre mi padre: ha vivido en Memphis durante 21 años. Es un hombre muy humilde y padece de artritis reumatoide. Aunque no es mi padre biológico, me ha apoyado económica y físicamente desde que yo tenía 3 años, y siempre me ha tratado como su propia hija.

Gracias a becas, podemos continuar con nuestros estudios, pero en este momento nuestra familia no cuenta con los recursos económicos necesarios para contratar a un abogado de inmigración y enfrentar los gastos legales relacionados con su caso.
