Ma mère, Micheline Desbiens est cette femme québécoise entrepreneure qui est sur le nom de toutes les lèvres en ce début du mois de Novembre.

Celle qui a fait le bonheur de milliers d’enfants n’a pas recu un sou de l’exploitation mondiale de son invention depuis 2009 !

L’injustice est telle que tous ont du mal à y croire. Les nombreux commentaires sur les pages Facebook de Bo-Jeux et de Radio-Canada le démontrent bien.

Voici son histoire  :

Depuis 2009, la compagnie qui produit Tutti Frutti, l’invention de Madame Desbiens, a cessé d’honorer le contrat stipulant qu’elle a droit à 4% des redevances de la pâte à modeler qu’elle a même créée dans sa cuisine en tant que mère monoparentale bénéficiaire de l’aide sociale. Une longue suite de procédures judiciaires est entreprise par ma mère en 2010. Les poursuites judiciaires sont reconnues comme un des facteurs de stress les plus élevés, mais ma mère tient au respect de sa propriété intellectuelle et décide de se battre contre Goliath. Heureusement, un avocat l’aide à ses frais en attendant que Bojeux honore le contrat et les décisions des tribunaux.  Avant même le prononcé du jugement de la Cour d’appel qui a confirmé les droits de Madame Desbiens à ses redevances, Bojeux 2 a transféré tous ses actifs à une nouvelle compagnie Bojeux 3 dont les actionnaires sont Olivier Mailloux, le contrôleur, et Sabrina Garreau.   Sabrina Garreau est la fille de Georges Garreau,  l’actionnaire de la compagnie vidée de ses actifs.   Cette dernière a déjà agi comme prête-nom pour son père dans la transaction Bojeux 1 et Bojeux 2.

 Ma mère continue néanmoins à se battre, à bout de force parfois, vidée d’énergie et surtout endettée... Non, ces années-là n’ont pas été une partie de plaisir pour personne au sein de notre famille.

Cet été, ma mère a pris la décision de dévoiler son histoire au grand public après plusieurs années d’attente. Elle donnait encore du temps à Bojeux afin que la compagnie règle la situation à l’abri de l’attention médiatique pour ne pas nuire aux ventes de la pâte à modeler. Mais, trop c’est trop ! Lorsque la célèbre émission québécoise Enquête de Radio-Canada l’a approchée, elle a décidé de partager son vécu.

Le sale jeu de Bojeux est d’épuiser ma mère pour qu’elle accepte un règlement dérisoire. Nous avons besoin de vous pour continuer cette lutte et combattre cette injustice.

Aujourd’hui, nous sollicitons votre aide financière. Nous voulons profiter de la vague d’amour et de support dont toute la population québécoise a fait preuve les dernières semaines.

Since early November, Micheline Desbiens, this Quebec entrepreneurial woman, my mother, is gathering a lot of attention.

The woman who has meant so much to thousands of children with her wonderful invention has not received a single dollar in dues since 2009.

Made aware of the situation, people deem this situation most unfair and hard to comprehend.  Bo-Jeux and Radio-Canada received numerous calls on their Facebook accounts where people expressed their indignation.

This is my mother’s story :

The company that fabricates TUTTI FRUTTI, the invention of my mother, Micheline Desbiens, has stopped paying dues to my mother back in 2009.  In her contract with the said company, my mother is entitled to 4 % of the sale of the product she has created in her kitchen while a single mother of two on welfare. My mother took legal action and those procerdings have been ongoing since 2010. It is well known that such legal litigations create a lot of stress.  Still, my mother is  intent on having her rights respected and is willing to continue in her fight against Goliath.


Luckily, my mother has enlisted the help of a lawyer willing to represent her pro bono until Bo-Jeux honors its contract and the favorable verdicts rendered previously by the tribunal. Before the Court of Appeal rendered its verdict  recognizing my mother’s rights to her dues, Bo-Jeux transferred all its assets to a third party, BO-Jeux III.  It has to be said that this new entity is managed by Olivier Mailloux, acting controller, and Sabrina Garreau.  Ms Garreau is the daughter of Georges Garreau, CEO of the previous company.  The same daughter acted as a go-between in the past in the transaction BO-JEUX 1 and BO-JEUX  2!!


My mother is still fighting but her health is failing her and so are her finances.  These past years have been very hard on our family.  This summer, after all those years, my mother took the decision to go public with her story.  She was reluctant to do this before, since it could adversely affect the sales of the modeling paste.  But, enough is enough.  When the people of the Public Affairs program Enquête de Radio-Canada contacted her, she accepted to go on the air. 

It is clear that Bo-JEUX is trying to bring my mother to exhaustion and get her to accept a insignificant  settlement.

We need your help so Micheline can continue her fight against this injustice and get the settlement she rightfully deserves.

Today, we ask you to join in a fund-raising effort. In the past twelve days, so many of Quebecers have expressed  to Micheline their warm feelings and concerns over the situation.  Let’s provide Micheline with the necessary financial support that will help her get the respect and attain the success story that should be hers.
