UPDATE: Thank you all for everything. 50K was the target amount for all expenses and to help Thiago's family but some people asked us to keep the GoFundMe open to collaborate with some extra help to the family!!

At around 10.30pm on Monday, Thiago Cortes (28) was about to finish his shift with Deliveroo and cycle home to his fiancée Teresa, in Portobello, when he was killed by a hit-and-run driver. He was seriously injured for the whole body and mainly in the head, neck and pelvis and had internal bleeding.
Thiago was a good friend, a good son and a good partner with his fiancée and he had a lot of dreams and someone took his life on a stupid way and we don`t know who did this. We are looking for justice, the person who did this need to pay for this crime.
We know that this campaign will not bring our Thiago back, no money will make us overcome your loss .But we know that everybody cares about him, about his fiancée and his family and all of you want to help in some way.
We want to show how important he was, how important is his cause and how united we are.
As lots of people were so willing to help Thiago and his family, the amount for the fundraiser was increased as we are still deciding if Thiago will be cremated and if his ashes will be left here in Ireland or if his body will be transported to Brazil. The fundraiser will help with all expenses he will require. This will include hospital bills, lawyer costs, funeral costs,bureaucracies here and in Brazil and also financial aid to Thiago`s family.
We really want to thank you for all supports.
