Justice For Tayvion
My son, Tayvion, a 6yr old child, has recently become a victim of sexual assault by a 58yr old man. The man's name is Richard Reiger and he used his very own son to bait my child in as Tayvion & his son was best friends.
Over the summer, Tay spent a few nights at Reiger's house where Reiger took the opportunity to sexually assault him. Richard Reiger let it be known to a neighbor that he had been sleeping in the same bed as Tayvion and then he notified me about it and that is when I asked my son about what happened about his experiences at these sleepovers.
Tayvion only told me so much but I reported it to the police in late September and he had his forensic interview October 21st. I do not wish to share explicit details but they were not limited to Reiger removing all of his clothing before climbing into the bed and Reiger putting his hands on my son and his private parts. I later took Tayvion in for a forensic interview in which Tayvion gave more detailed information to the investigators so they know more about the actual assault than myself at this point.
Tayvion has changed drastically and is now a depressed little boy that is now having panic attacks multiple times a week and is always angry. We are now seeing a counselor weekly to help Tayvion manage his emotions as well as the trauma he endured from this sexual assault.
Here is where I NEED your help. Richard Reiger has NOT been arrested nor has he been charged with the sexual assault of a 6 year old child. Richard Reiger lives behind an elementary school where he has access to children every day. Reiger also knows where the victim lives and is a current gun owner until charged. When I call for answers to the case the only thing they will tell me is that it's under attorney review and it’s my sons word against Reigers. It is now approaching 6 months since it had been reported to local authorities. The state of North Dakota has picked up charges (all of which have been dismissed) on relatives and on myself within a matter of 1-2 months (bogus charges but that's not what's important here) but has yet to protect the children of this state from a dangerous sexual predator.
As of March 3rd the state attorney Julie Lawyer said charges will not be filed as it is my sons word against his (although there is a witness and a PTSD Diagnosis as well now).My sons doctor is trying to get the ball rolling as well since my son has given her more details. Children services has not contacted my sons doctor back nor has the detective. I have contacted the fbi numerous times and they said it is a state issue to contact the attorney general. I contacted the AG and they said they are not in charge of the state attorney and nothing they could do. First I’ve ever heard this. So at this point we are stuck with no other options besides hiring a private attorney to bring this matter in front of the courts. There is a petition I will link below as well as this gofundme set up in order to get my son justice. This man is now communicating with my son through his son at their school. I have contacted local media and they will not share my sons story although there is 280,000 signatures demanding an arrest as well as a doctor. Iam begging any and everyone of you to please share as well as donate anything at all, even a $1 will help us get closer to justice for Tayvion as well as protecting other children in our community. The case is 20-17130 in Burleigh county and is being handled by state attorney Julie Lawyer,Detective Lahr is the officer on the case. Please help Tayvion get justice and finallyget a peaceful night of sleep knowing his assailant is locked away where he can not harm him.

We demand they arrest 58yr old Richard Reiger for the sexual assault of 6 year old Tayvion. We need the help of the people in order to get this petition to the right people.
