My name is Rosa, and I am seeking support from donors to help cover legal fees for my son, who has been incarcerated since 2023 and was forced to plead guilty without the opportunity to defend himself. At this stage, the only option available is to file a habeas corpus petition, which costs more than $30,000. I am an immigrant who came to this country legally several years ago and became a U.S. citizen. My son was born here and had never encountered any legal issues. He was accepted into a talented program and was close to completing his bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology.
