Justice for my son Albert Savala

Donation protected
On January 11th my son was on his way to Thunder Valley Casino in Placer County, CA with his female companion and was pulled over by the local sheriffs on a minor traffic violation because his license plate was hanging off.  It ended with him being shot three times in both arms and chest while he had his hands in the air. Thank goodness the young lady in the car with him was unharmed but my son is currently being held in a Placer County jail under a ridiculous $200,000 dollar bond.  Albert is just 30 years old.  He’s my first born child, a father of three (two boys and a girl).  He did nothing wrong besides  being a black man with dreads “in the wrong county as he was told” while being detained.  He doesn’t deserve this injustice he’s been dealt.  No one does!!

The stories the media and news articles are spinning are far from the truth.  It is both horrific and heart breaking for our family. They didn't even get his nationality correct.  Albert is an African American male. Yet sadly just another young man unjustly targeted by police. Please, we ask for your help to combat the exorbitant amount of bail and to assist with expensive attorney retainers, plus fees to fight his case.  We can't afford to get my son out of jail and we are growing more concerned he's not receiving proper medical care.

Please, anything you can do will help and be greatly appreciated.  We need to really start bringing more awareness to police brutality because they keep shooting these unarmed black men, women and children.  Thankfully my son survived but his story needs to be heard and told!!  I have recently watched the video of what happened to my son, it’s truly heartbreaking to say the least .  Its just horrible the things police officers do to try to justify their actions, shooting an unarmed person because you’re trying to pull him out the car while he’s fearing for his life.  As his mother I will do everything in my power to fight to defend my son’s innocence and get rightful justice.  #JusticeForAlbert
