Deep fear gripped him as he thought about the safety of his child, his father, and himself. Acting on instinct and a parent’s unwavering duty to protect, Lawrence made a split-second decision to safeguard his loved ones.

<div>Every action he took afterward was responsible and measured: he called 911, remained at the scene, and cooperated fully with law enforcement. Lawrence’s response was not reckless—it was a courageous act to protect his family in a frightening, life-threatening moment.

<div>Lawrence was convicted in a one-day trial, during which key witnesses were never called to the stand. These omissions have left serious questions about whether his case was given a fair and thorough review.

<div>Despite having no history of violence and being known for his peaceful, giving nature, Lawrence was sentenced to life in prison. A punishment this extreme does not reflect who he is as a man, a father, or a member of his community.
