<div>I am writing today with a heavy heart in hopes to help raise awareness to the tragedy of the senseless violence that was brought upon Joyce Tomlinson in Edisto Beach, SC back on October 3, 2025 where she ultimately lost her battle in the hospital ICU down there 3 weeks later on October 26, 2025. Joyce was a kind and giving soul to everyone who knew her. In her no-nonsense way, she always knew the right thing to say when you needed to hear it. What was taken from us on that evening in October will never be replaced. I lost an aunt and truly my lifeline to everything I knew and was taught. Her son, Wes, lost his mother and a best friend to us both. Since this is an ongoing investigation, now that she is gone it has taken a toll on us all. Especially Wes, who's up to his eyeballs in red-tape in legal, civil and estate battles. Something we never thought we'd have to know or learn about. Joyce was the one who handled these things. We were there when she left this world and we need to be here now for her and our family as we grieve and try and pull together a proper way to say goodbye with everyone who loved her.

<div><strong>All funds raised will be put in a fund to provide a service and Celebration of Life</strong> for us all closest to her, to say our goodbyes and gather and offer support to one another.

<div>Since things are costly and the investigation is holding up any type of relief, we greatly appreciate any assistance you can are able to give (<strong>even a $1 helps</strong>) if you are able.

<div>As the holiday season is approaching fast and many questions continue to flood into our minds and hearts as to why this tragedy has happened to our beloved Joyce, I am reminded that we all grieve in our own ways and those of us in the midst of this case may forget that there are so many who loved her and have questions of their own. Many of you have been only fed bits and pieces of the story since the tragic attack that eventually took her life while on vacation in South Carolina.

<div>Due to the nature of the criminal and civil case, those of us that do have any information about the ongoing case are limited to what we can discuss.
</div>

<div>I don't have a lot of answers for you all right now but I do know that we all want <strong>JUSTICE FOR JOYCE</strong> and say our goodbyes and give comfort.
</div>

<div>The past couple months have been the most difficult in my lifetime to cope and understand what truly happened and the tragedy of losing his Mom, for Wes, is compounded x1000.
</div>

<div>Along with our family and friends; I'm saddened to say it's only the beginning.
</div>

<div>I really don't have words to express how much of a toll this has taken on us, not only emotionally but also financially. We have been there every step of the way. Wes and I, along with our closest family, friends and our legal teams are all trying to make sense of this nonsensical situation, and bring justice where no justice truly can be served.
</div>

<div>In order for us to continue on and get the answers we all need; along with a little bit of closure and to say goodbye with a<strong> Celebration of Life</strong> for Joyce, we are reaching out for your help.
</div>

<div>Due to the nature of the case and slow-moving investigation, resolution of her estate and the ability to move forward has stalled. Along with knowing that future court appearances and trials are imminent. <strong>It is at this time we are requesting help from our family, friends, and community to bring JUSTICE FOR JOYCE! </strong>

<div>Now is the time that we are in need of funds to make this happen. To ensure <strong>proper services</strong>, <strong>a celebration of life</strong>, and f<strong>unds for future trips</strong> to South Carolina when the <strong>criminal and civil trials begin</strong>.
