This is a long shot... My oldest son, John Jr., has been incarcerated for almost a year now. He had a public defender that didn't do his job and refused to do a trial. He coerced John into taking a plea deal by scaring him into it. I have talked to a real attorney who can get the plea reversed and take it to trial, but it is going to cost us almost $20,000.
I am looking into options, but right now, we need at least $2,000 to get the plea reversed. Then the trial will be scheduled. I don't know what else to do. I never ask for help, but this is my son's life at risk, so I have no choice. If I can at least get the $2,000 to get the plea reversed, I have a bit more time to get the rest of the money together for the trial. Please... I don't know what else to do at this point. This is what happens when you put your trust in court-appointed attorneys. I did all the work for him, found witnesses and other proof that the charges are BS... and he still blew it off. Whatever help I can get will be greatly appreciated.
