<div>Hello everyone, thank you so much for all the support and for keeping up with my dad’s and brother’s case. We’re truly working hard to find justice together with FIEL Houston they’ve been a great help, supporting us, advising us with interviews, and helping us find our dad.

<div>My dad was classified as low-level at the Montgomery Detention Center, and they told us low-level detainees could be visited on Mondays. We first went for an interview, and just to be sure we would actually be able to see him that day, my sister (Maria Bazan) asked me to call the detention center to confirm, since we have to make the trip all the way to Conroe (we live in Houston).

<div>When I called, they asked me for his A-number, and then the girl on the phone told me my father had been deported that same morning. We were all in utter shock because we felt defeated what do you mean our father was no longer even in the U.S. anymore?!

<div>Fortunately, my dad contacted us later that day and told us that he was doing well, though he said his soul felt broken because of how they treated them and how he saw them mistreat my brother .

<div>We’re still continuing with the case because they unfortunately rushed to deport my dad, but my brother’s case is still open since there was no need for such an aggressive attack toward a 16 year old child.
</div>

<div>ACTUALIZACIÓN 30 DE OCTUBRE DEL 2025:

<div>Hola a todos, muchas gracias por todo el apoyo y por seguir al tanto del caso de mi papá y mi hermano. Realmente estamos trabajando muy duro para encontrar justicia junto con FIEL Houston, quienes han sido de gran ayuda, apoyándonos, orientándonos en entrevistas y ayudándonos a encontrar a mi papá.

<div>Mi papá fue clasificado como de bajo nivel en el Centro de Detención de Montgomery, y nos dijeron que los detenidos de bajo nivel podían recibir visitas los lunes. Primero fuimos para una entrevista, y para asegurarnos de que realmente podríamos verlo ese día, mi hermana (María Bazán) me pidió que llamara al centro de detención para confirmar, ya que tenemos que hacer el viaje hasta Conroe (nosotros vivimos en Houston).

<div>Cuando llamé, me pidieron su número A, y luego la señora por el teléfono me dijo que mi papá había sido deportado esa misma mañana. Todos nos quedamos en completo shock, nos sentimos derrotados ¿cómo que nuestro papá ya ni siquiera estaba en Estados Unidos?

<div>Afortunadamente, mi papá se comunicó con nosotros más tarde ese mismo día y nos dijo que estaba bien, aunque comentó que sentía su alma rota por la forma en que lo trataron y por cómo vio que maltrataron a mi hermano.

<div>Seguimos adelante con el caso, ya que lamentablemente deportaron a mi papá muy apresuradamente, pero el caso de mi hermano sigue abierto, porque no había razón alguna para un ataque tan agresivo hacia un niño de 16 años.

<div>Hello everyone,
</div>
<div>My name is Selena Bazan, and I’m starting this fundraiser to help my family specifically my dad, who was aggressively taken by ICE, and my 16 year old brother, a U.S. citizen, who was also assaulted by ICE.

<div>On October 23, 2025, my dad woke up to take my brother to school located in the Alief area. They stopped by McDonald’s to get a frappe, having a normal morning, when they noticed behind them what seemed to be a regular car with red and blue lights just like a typical police car. My dad had nothing to hide or fear, so although he was confused, he pulled over.

<div>When they pulled into a parking lot and waited for the officer, they were suddenly surrounded by three vehicles,one in front and one on each side. The men got out of their cars wearing ski masks and started hitting the car windows . They tried pulling my brother out, and that’s when my dad went into fight-or-flight mode. He reversed and drove off.

<div>The border patrol chased them and hit their car three times to try to stop them. My dad was determined to protect my brother above all else. He called my uncle, who told him to drive to Restaurant Depot. My dad worked with my uncle as a Chinese food cook and was in charge of buying supplies, so he was familiar with the store and the people there. He thought it would be a safe place where someone could help them but unfortunately, he was wrong.

<div>When they got out of the car and ran inside, the police chased after them and tackled them. My dad couldn’t get very far because he has a back injury. When they tried to lay him flat, he couldn’t, so they became even rougher with him. They never once asked about their legal status NOT ONCE.

<div>Later, my brother said they were parked in a random parking lot when the officers finally realized he was a U.S. citizen and a minor. They let him call my mom using one of their phones, to notify my mom the border patrol was gonna take my brother home ,but my brother overheard that their plan was to drop him off and take my mom instead. Thankfully, my mom wasn’t home, so my sisters and I went to receive him.

<div>He was bruised, with scratches on his neck, his shirt ripped apart, and he was devastated because they had taken our dad away. We still don’t know anything about my dad. He isn’t showing up in the system, and we have no updates about him.

<div>We are trying to take legal action against Border Patrol and to do everything possible to bring my dad home, but we need financial support for attorney fees. Please help us anything truly helps. If you can’t donate, please help us by sharing our story.

<div>El 23 de octubre de 2025, mi papá se levantó para llevar a mi hermano a la escuela ubicada en el área de Alief. Se detuvieron en McDonald’s para comprar un frappé, teniendo una mañana normal, cuando notaron detrás de ellos lo que parecía ser un carro común con luces rojas y azules, como un carro de policía. Mi papá no tenía nada que esconder ni temer, así que, aunque estaba confundido, se orilló.

<div>Cuando se estacionaron en un estacionamiento y esperaban al oficial, de repente fueron rodeados por tres vehículos: uno al frente y uno a cada lado. Los hombres se bajaron de sus carros usando pasamontañas y comenzaron a golpear las ventanas hasta romperlas. Intentaron sacar a mi hermano, y fue entonces cuando mi papá entró en modo de defensa. Dio reversa y se fue manejando.

<div>La patrulla fronteriza los persiguió y chocó su carro tres veces para intentar detenerlos. Mi papá estaba decidido a proteger a mi hermano por encima de todo. Llamó a mi tío, quien le dijo que manejara hacia Restaurant Depot. Mi papá trabajaba con mi tío como cocinero de comida china y era el encargado de comprar las cosas para el negocio , así que conocía bien la tienda y a la gente de ahí. Pensó que sería un lugar seguro donde alguien podría ayudarlos, pero desafortunadamente se equivocó.

<div>Cuando se bajaron del carro y corrieron hacia adentro, la policía los siguió y los tiró al suelo. Mi papá no pudo correr mucho porque tiene una lesión en la espalda. Cuando intentaron ponerlo boca abajo, no pudo, así que lo trataron con aún más fuerza. Nunca les preguntaron sobre su estatus legal, ni una sola vez.

<div>Más tarde, mi hermano nos contó que estaban estacionados en un estacionamiento cualquiera cuando los oficiales finalmente se dieron cuenta de que él era ciudadano estadounidense y menor de edad. Le permitieron llamar a mi mamá usando uno de sus teléfonos para avisarle que la patrulla fronteriza lo iba a llevar a casa, pero mi hermano escuchó que en realidad planeaban dejarlo y llevarse a mi mamá. Gracias a Dios, mi mamá no estaba en casa, así que mis hermanas y yo fuimos por él.

<div>Él llegó con moretones, rasguños en el cuello, su camisa rasgada, y destrozado porque se habían llevado a nuestro papá. Aún no sabemos nada de él. No aparece en el sistema y no tenemos ninguna actualización sobre su paradero.

<div>Estamos tratando de tomar acciones legales contra la Patrulla Fronteriza y hacer todo lo posible para traer a mi papá de regreso, pero necesitamos apoyo financiero para cubrir los honorarios del abogado.
