<div>On August 17, 2025, in Brooklyn, New York, our brother Amadou Diallo, just 24 years old, was tragically killed while working after being caught in the crossfire of a gang shootout outside a nightclub. He had recently arrived from Guinea with big dreams and hope for a better future. Amadou was brilliant, respectful, and hardworking, his life was just beginning, and it was taken far too soon by senseless gun violence.

<div>His parents are devastated. Their only wish now is to bring their son back home to Guinea and lay him to rest with dignity in the land of his ancestors.

<div>My connection to the family: I am part of the Guinean community and I’m working closely with Amadou’s family such as uncle Mamadou Saliou Diallo and Alpha Yaya Diallo and the Guinean Community of America (GUICA-NY) to support them through this unimaginable loss.
