Dominique was a 6-year-old child who was abused, tortured, and forced to live in a dog cage in a home filled with rats and roaches. She was being abused by being starved, left in her own urine and feces, and often beaten and tied up for punishment. This left her only weighing 27 pounds according to medical examiners.
