Today we remember and honor Pluto, our beloved German Shepherd, who was taken from us far too soon at just two years old. Pluto was more than a dog—he was family. He was a loyal companion, a protector of our home, and a best friend to the boys who loved him so deeply. From the moment he came into our lives, Pluto filled our days with energy, loyalty, and unconditional love. He loved nothing more than playing with his boys. Whether it was running in the yard, chasing a ball, or simply being beside them, Pluto was always happiest when he was with the people he loved. To them, he wasn’t just a pet—he was their friend, their protector, and part of their childhood. Pluto’s life ended in a heartbreaking and sudden way while someone ran through our yard and the police fired their weapons, striking him twice. The loss has left a deep pain in our hearts, especially for the boys who are struggling to understand why their best friend is gone. But Pluto’s life will not be remembered only for that moment. He will be remembered for his loyalty, his playful spirit, and the love he gave so freely every single day. He was still so young, with so much life and love left to give. Yet in the short time he was with us, he made a lasting mark on our family. Pluto brought joy, protection, laughter, and companionship that we will carry with us forever. To Pluto — thank you for being such a loyal and loving part of our family. You were a good boy, and you were deeply loved. The yard will feel quieter without you, and the boys will miss their best friend every day. Run free now, Pluto. You will always live in our hearts.
