Just simply need Music!

My name is Miguel and I'm  music lover currently serving a life sentence at the Green Bay Correctional Institution located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Being that I've been  incarcerated for almost 20 years straight I've never experienced any technology more advanced than a cell phone circa 2000. Back then all you could do with a cell phone was make phone calls and send texts. But just last year in January the Wisconsin Dept. of Corrections allowed us to have tablets. Sure they're heavily tripped down to just a music player, extremely limited video game player, and an emailing device, but to someone like me it is still the most advanced piece of technology that I have ever used. I spent the first few days awed and amazed at the tablets ability to flip the screen whenever I flipped the tablet. And that was before it was activated by the institution. I am so grateful for this blessing in my life bkuz I'm now able to be in contact with my niece's and nephews who were born since I've been locked up. I try to be the best uncle that I can be from behind these bars.
Being away from the real world for so long I missed out on a lot of music over the years. I know it's an insignificant thing in the grand scheme of things, but to someone like me it helps me to keep calm and sane in a chaotic and insane environment. I like to put my ear buds in and drown out all the negativity and ignorance that assaults the senses all day and night. I have about 80 songs in my library that I listen to over and over for hours on end while I sit and draw (which is another hobby of mine), write letters or poems, or while I exercise throughout the day. Music of all kinds helps me free my mind from the monotony and repetition of these long days. It truly is soothing to my soul.
I'm into different types of music, from hip hop to country to rock to salsa to reggaeton to cumbia to pop to edm to r&b, I really do love it all. There is so much music that I never had the chance to hear and having this tablet gives me a chance to listen to all the music I remember as well as a lot of the new music that I missed. But it's the price of each song ($1.95) that makes it virtually impossible for me to come any where near my wish. Since I only make $0.05 an hour here I'd have to work 40 hours just to buy one song. I have done this times, but it's made even harder by the fact that I have to also buy my own essential hygiene items such as soap, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, etc. with that same $0.05 an hour.
My musical "wish list" is well over 10,000 songs deep, but my hope is to blessed enough to buy about 2001 of them. That number is significant to me bkuz it's the last year that I was a free man. At a price of $1.95 for each song, it would cost a total of $3,901.95, which makes it a virtual impossibility for me by myself, but with your help this fantasy will become reality, would you please be kind enough to help me mentally remove myself from this psyche incinerator and momentarily escape the spiritually destructive forces within these walls? I tank you from the bottom of my heart for taking time out of your day to read my story.
