Just Naked HQ Fire Relief Fund (lea & adam's home)

On August 27th at 2pm our home caught fire. Luckily we were away, working at a local cafe when we got the call from our neighbor. Nobody was injured, a miracle as this home has been a permanent and part-time residence to many naturist folks for nearly 50 years, but we (Lea and Adam) lost almost everything we own.
We didn't have a lot, but the things we had were loved dearly. Maintaining optimism until we saw the damage, it was clear that everything was gone. In the six days since the fire, we are regularly reminded of another precious item that was consumed; a gift, Lea's art, or some funky piece of clothing that magically fit us both.
Last spring we packed everything and moved to Rock Lodge Club - what we thought would be our forever-home. We moved to be away from the stress of the city, focus on growing Just Naked, and address ongoing health concerns in this sacred space. Through dance, making art, gardening, and sharing meals with friends, we made great progress through the last 4 months here.
This was also the home of Just Naked. Event planning, content creating, and podcast hosting - it all happened here. Many of you joined our Just Naked Shuttle, which made the trip from NYC to Rock Lodge Club a bit easier.
We are grateful for this community. In the 8 months that we've been hosting naked events in NYC, we've met hundreds of beautiful and supportive folks. Many have offered their time and energy to grow Just Naked, and dozens have become regulars at our weekly events. It's taken us a week to begin processing this tragedy (and create this page); but despite our silence, many of you have reached out to help and offer condolences. Thank you.
We took this last weekend to process, deciding how to best move forward. We have very little savings, and no insurance to cover our possessions lost in the fire, but the generosity of our community keeps us positive. Staying in a friend's Catskill cabin, wearing clothes gifted to us by friends, and connecting to the earth through a hike on a beautiful day - somehow we rest assured that, with a little help from our friends, we will find our way.
