Hi this is Olivia, founder of Just like a Girl.
I am an passionate water polo player. I started playing 3 years ago when I was 12 years old. The sport gave me a new life full of confidence, good health and empowerment as a female athlete. But along with this, it also brought some challenges. As the only girl, playing in a team of 15 boys I had my struggles to deal with as well. These challenges made me even stronger. During this time I started the Organization, "Just like a Girl" to help more girls like me, bring them into sports and empower their life.
Did you know, sports dropout rates for girls are six times the rate for boys. And that too due to the lack of female leadership and gender-inequality in sports?
Our mission at Just like a girl is to create a positive and empowering environment for girls in sports.
Currently we need funds to register, promote and launch the organization. Please support us to change the culture of female sports.
