Just For Jesse

Donation protected
With a very heavy heart, we are creating this campaign to raise funds for Jesse's memorial services and his last wishes. Here we have put together a description of what Jesse has been through over the past few months. Jesse James was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus in April of 2017. After the diagnosis, he underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatments. The regimen he endured consisted of radiation Monday-Friday every week, including chemotherapy sessions every Tuesday. His last treatment was July 11th, 2017 at Emory Winship Cancer Center in Midtown, Atlanta. Due to hospitalizations there were some delays in completing the treatments on the scheduled dates. The oncology team was amazing throughout his journey and wanted to beat this thing just as much as we did. Anyone that knows Jesse knows that he was a very hard-working man and fought tooth and nail when needed. Despite the circumstances, he continued working for more than half of his treatments. Unfortunately, his body became overwhelmed due to the cancer itself and the extent of the treatments. Jesse was a father, son, brother, husband, Paw-Paw, and friend to so many people. His family and lifelong friends have been so supportive throughout this journey. He was a good man. He loved and took care of his family his whole life. He will continue to be loved by so many. All donations will be put forth to medical costs, memorial services, and his last wishes. Leighann Otto, his partner of 19 years, will oversee all donations. Unfortunately, due to financial hardships we are not in the position to fund all expenses on our own. We would like to raise the funds by Friday, October 27th, to have all arrangements completed. We cannot express the appreciation we have for every donation, no matter if it is $1 to $100. Each donation means the world to us in this very difficult time. All of the prayers, thoughts, and well wishes have been so helpful, and we thank you all. Jesse couldn't have had a better support system than every one of us.  Below will be a link for Jesse's Facebook for updates and/or pictures/memories.
