Hello,

My name is Bria. My friends and family told me to start this and just tell my story so here goes. Not going to do too much detail because this is very personal. Starting the middle of March I went to the ER once a week for pain in my stomach and lower back. After 2 visits I was on the verge of sepsis and prescribed an antibiotic. A few days later I began to get white spots all over the inside of my mouth, a sharp pain in the left side of my stomach, and a burning sensation in my throat. I was unable to eat and barely able to drink water. I began to have chest pains, vomiting and had lost over 15lbs. I went back to the ER and I was admitted. They found multiple ulcers in my esophagus that were beginning to hemorrhage causing inflammation in my chest putting pressure on my heart. I spent over a week in the hospital until they were able to determine the cause and I was able to keep protein shakes down. I ended up losing a total of 30lbs in 3 weeks and didn’t return to a normal diet until 2 months later.

The day I was released from the hospital I got a nose bleed. I began to get them everyday lasting up to 5minutes. I was then referred to Kentuckian Ear, Nose, and Throat where I was informed I needed surgery to cauterize what is best described as a massive blood blister that keeps rupturing in my nose.

4 months after I was released from the hospital there was still bleeding and I had to have surgery on my stomach.

Also while I was in the hospital I received a CT scan with contrast where they found a solid mass on my uterus. After 4 MRIs and an ultrasound they found the mass is 6.6cm and needs to be removed for testing. They have done all the imaging they can, best case scenario it’s a minimally invasive surgery where they just clip a stem, worst case scenario I will have to have a full hysterectomy.

So in the past 6 months after 28 doctors appointments, 4 MRIs, 2 EDGs, 1 ultrasound, 2 surgeries and 1 surgery to go I have reached my insurance and PTO limits. Just need a little help paying the rest of my medical bills and the 6 weeks leave I don’t have for my upcoming surgery.

I had a total of 41 appointments, 2 EDGS, 4, MRIs, 1 ultrasound, 2 surgeries and I had the final big surgery on January 2nd. I spent 4 weeks off work which my short term disability did not cover but we found out it was non cancerous!!! I finally have a clean bill of health!!

On March 30th I got a severe pain in my lower back and tailbone and became unable to walk. I was diagnosed with osteitis condensans ilii. I have been put on steroids and muscle relaxers along with seeing a spine specialist and starting physical therapy.
