So I was diagnosed with bowel cancer in November 2020 , the cancer was removed and I was told I am cured. The day before chemo was due to start as a preventative measure, a CT scan revealed it had unexpectedly spread to my liver. I’m currently going through chemo to shrink the bastards and cut them out with surgery. I am owning my situation and facing my fears, I am focused and positive but not without bad days and wobbles. “ I will not be defined by this “
One way to keep positive is to take on challenges and for our first challenge, I have assembled a crack team of Jurassic Wa*kers to take on the Jurassic Coast Challenge!! The Brave or crazy bunch to take on this epic challenge are:

We will be walking over a marathon a day and camping at night for 4 days from Sandy Beach in Exmouth to Bournemouth Pier! Dates are Thursday 12th August to Sunday 15th August 2021. This is a total of 101 miles or 163 km. We will be following the coastal path the whole way passing through the famous world heritage site along Devon and Dorset! Through rain or shine through blisters and bum sores we are determined to complete this challenge not only as a bunch of middle-aged men but also as a team of close friends and family supporting all those who HAVE, ARE, and WILL, unfortunately, have to take on the battle against Cancer!
Live Luke’s Dreams is a small Enfield based charity, created in honour of a local little boy called Luke, who died from cancer aged 5. They aim to keep Luke's memory alive whilst supporting the wellbeing of children living in the boroughs of Enfield and Barnet, who have been diagnosed with a childhood cancer, and are receiving treatment under Barnet Hospital's paediatric oncology shared care.
They provide gifts for long hospital stays, memory making days out and family breaks away. For more information on the charity please visit www.livelukesdreams.com/about-us
