<div>Somos Eduardo, Gustavo, Diego y Adriana y queremos contarles que desde hace dos años nuestra abue Miriam entro en una depresión profunda debido al suicidio de su hija, nuestra tía Francis. Una situación muy difícil para toda la familia de la cual aun sentimos las repercusiones. Esta depresión desencadenó en nuestra abuela una serie de problemas de salud graves, incluyendo complicaciones cardiovasculares y gastrointestinales.

<div>Nuestra abuela vive en Bogotá, Colombia, y debido a restricciones migratorias, no habíamos podido verla en más de dos años. A finales de Junio por fin tuvimos la suerte de reunirnos con ella para celebrar la boda de Edu. Lamentablemente, durante su estancia aquí, abue contrajo COVID-19 y ahora se encuentra hospitalizada e intubada en el Hospital Escandón desde el 12 de julio 2024. Su estado es crítico, enfrenta una situación complicada con intubación necesaria debido a una arritmia cardiaca e hipertensión.

<div>El cuadro médico actual de mi abuela es estable, pero su pronóstico sigue siendo reservado. Se estima que necesitará al menos 7 días más de intubación.

<div>Desafortunadamente, el seguro médico de Colombia no cubre los gastos en México, y nos enfrentamos a una cuenta hospitalaria que por ahora supera los 500,000 pesos mexicanos (28,000 USD). Para nuestra familia es muy abrumador ver como esta suma sigue incrementando y la salud de nuestra abuela sigue incierta.

<div>No tenemos muy claro que otro camino tomar y es por lo que buscamos apelar a su generosidad, solidaridad y empatía en estos tiempos complicados. Cualquier contribución que puedas hacer será enormemente apreciada, todas las donaciones son en pesos mexicanos (18 MXN = 1 USD). Tu ayuda puede marcar la diferencia en la vida de mi abuela, quien ha enfrentado tanto dolor y ahora lucha valientemente contra esta enfermedad.

<div>Our grandmother Miriam lives in Bogotá, Colombia, and due to migratory restrictions, we had not seen each other in over two years. At the end of June we were finally lucky enough to meet up with her in Mexico to celebrate Edu's wedding. Unfortunately, during her stay in Mexico, our grandmother contracted COVID-19 and is now hospitalized and intubated at the Escandón Hospital since July 12, 2024. Her condition is critical, she faces a complicated situation with necessary intubation due to cardiac arrhythmia and hypertension.

<div>My grandmother's current medical condition is stable, but her prognosis remains uncertain. It is estimated that she will need at least 7 more days of intubation.

<div>Unfortunately, her Colombian health insurance does not cover medical expenses in Mexico, and we are faced with a hospital bill that currently exceeds 500,000 Mexican pesos (28,000 USD).
