</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>¿Cómo lo logramos?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Rescatar tortugas perdidas y/o atrapadas entre rocas.
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>✨Tu donación hará posible:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div>✅ Garantizar su alimentación, transporte y agua
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div>✅ La protección de nidos y crías.
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

<div><strong>Together with the communities of Boa Vista Island, we protect sea turtles!</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In recent years, Cape Verde's beaches have seen an increase in sea turtle nesting. This at first glance may be great news, but this growth also brings new challenges: more turtles disoriented, trapped between rocks and in danger of not making it to the sea,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In 2024, 1,012 turtles were rescued by Cabo Verde Natura 2000 team and at least 14 adults were recorded as hunted in our area.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We know that the best way to protect them from their multiple threats is to rely on the support of the community to be the guardians of these species.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>How did we achieve this?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For more than 25 years we have been dedicated to ensuring that sea turtles find a safe place to reproduce in Boa Vista Island. To do this, we set up two base camps, far away from the villages, covering 15 km of beaches from June to October.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our team is made up of 40 locally recruited people, who are provided with food, transport and water so that they can fully dedicate themselves to this work. Together with national and international volunteers, they work day and night to:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Rescue turtles lost and/or trapped between rocks.
</div>
<div>Monitor and record threats on the beaches (poaching, predation, tourism, etc.).
</div>
<div>Ensure that hatchlings reach the sea safety.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>✨ Your donation will make it possible:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>✅ The hiring of at least 6 local monitors.
</div>
<div>✅ Guarantee their food, transport and water
</div>
<div>✅ Contribute to the rescue of trapped or disoriented turtles.
</div>
<div>✅ Reinforce surveillance of beaches to reduce poaching.
</div>
<div>✅ Protection of nests and hatchlings.
</div>
<div>✅ Raising awareness to make conservation a local pride.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation counts. With your help, you contribute to the local economy and the conservation of sea turtles.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Together we can make conservation a shared effort.</strong>
