<div>This past summer, I was diagnosed with advanced tongue cancer (stage IV squamous cell carcinoma). In September, I underwent major surgery where 60% of my tongue was removed and reconstructed with part of my thigh muscle, along with a neck dissection.

<div>Since then, I’ve been working hard to regain my speech and the ability to eat again, two things I used to take for granted but now practice every day with patience.
</div>
<div>I’m currently undergoing two months of intensive chemotherapy and radiation. It’s been an incredibly challenging journey, especially as I already fought through leukemia when I was 10 years old.

<div>I created this page mainly to keep friends and family updated and to give anyone who’s asked a way to show support. Any contributions will help with recovery expenses such as transportation to treatment, nutritional support, and time off work.
