Philip is in need of sight-saving eye surgery.
The good news is we have Doctors in the US waiting and ready to donate their skills and time to provide the surgeries. All we need to do is get Philip to the US and provide for the hard expenses of the hospital, medication, and housing.
Two years ago, with the help of so many, we successfully sent Philip to India for the life saving thyroid surgery to treat his Thyrotoxicosis. . His thyroid surgery was a great success. Philip is now able to eat and gain weight. His skin has begun to repair and the stress and strain on his internal organs is normalizing. Of course, Philip must now be on medication to replace the function of his thyroid, but his joy of living has been restored.
There has been one condition, his bulging eyes, that has not improved, and will not without several surgeries. If left untreated, this very painful condition which requires him to tape his eyes shut just to sleep, will likely lead to blindness.
Because of budgeting and scheduling constraints of the hosptial we must raise the funds to get Philip to the US by December of this year. We are under a very tight timeline. Please consider helping to make Philip's dream of a normal life a reality.
