Junior's fight against cancer

Our father Juan A. Aquino, a.k.a. Junior, was recently diagnosed with cancer. He's a man who has always been in good health, has taught others how to keep their health up, and has always taken care of those who were ill or injured. He's bandaged us up more times than we can count.
Our family have always been about giving and not receiving but we have a bumpy road ahead. Even though we need all the help we can get, Junior doesn't want us to ask for help. He will be going through 2 months of proton treatments where he'll need to be living away from home. The treatments are daily and the closest facility would equate to over 4 hours of daily driving if so. Not only are the treatments above our heads in price, but the cost of living for anything short-term is somewhat breathtaking. To top it off, he'll be missing work the whole time.
This all has happened quite quickly. His treatments start in September. Any help we receive will go towards the treatments, living costs, and the time away from work. In these times it is easy to feel down, I'm hoping all the support will keep his spirits up and help with beating this cancer.
Our parents have been together for 34years. Raised 2 sons and help almost daily with 1 grandchild. Junior has been a father to those who didn't really have a father or close to a second father for many. I can say he has about 5 sons and 3 daughters in that regard. We ask that you help in any way of you can. We are putting together events to raise money and are trying to do what we can to reach our goal of $20,000 for the initial costs of all this. Anything helps no matter how small.
