It's that time of year again: our Annual Juneteenth (Freedom Day) Celebration!
Saturday, June 19, 2021, from 4:00 til 9:00 PM at the Ives Park Gazebo in Potsdam NY.
Juneteenth is a yearly community event that honors the day that enslaved people in Texas were finally told that they were free on June 19, 1865. These were the last slaves to win their freedom.
We will celebrate with cultural music, food, speakers, dance, poetry, awards, and a Black Beauty fashion show. ALL FOOD AND EVENTS ARE FREE.
This is a family-friendly event; no alcohol permitted. Social distancing and masks are required. You are welcome to bring a blanket or chairs.
DONATIONS ARE APPRECIATED AND WILL GO TO THE JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION.
