Help Juneau get back on her feet

Juneau, our 7-year-old fun loving pit bull took a serious spill at the dog park on August 6th. We initially hoped it was only a sprained leg. But, after a few days and no progress, we went to the vet to find out it was much worse than we imagined. Juneau not only has an acute ACL tear but she also managed to break her patella (kneecap) at the same time.
If you have ever been around Juneau than you know: she does everything 1000%, and injury is no exception.
Unfortunately, surgery is her only option due to the severity of her injury and the costs are quickly adding up. The surgery alone will run around $5,400 on top of rehabilitation costs following the procedure; several times a week for months. The rehabilitation is just as important to ensure not only the leg stays strong, but also to prevent injuring the other side. The cost of the surgery and rehab is an unexpected expense that no one ever plans on. Who knew that dog knees were so expensive?
Surgery is set for August 15th and we'll be working hard to get her back up to being her normal self as soon as possible. It's going to be a long few months for us to say the least.
For those of you who haven't met Juneau, she's been my best friend, hiking partner and cuddle bug since she was 8 weeks old. She's moved to the middle of nowhere Wyoming, lived in a tent for 40 days with me and explored all over the state of Colorado. Over the past few years, she's been lucky enough to have an Aussie sister who loves nothing more than following her around and doing everything she does. Juneau has a special place in everyone's heart that has been lucky enough to know her.
I couldn't imagine an adventure without Juneau by our side. She still has so much life to live and this surgery will be crucial to get her back on the trails and back into feeling as close as we can get to 100%.
I never imagined having to fix Juneau and I really didn't expect this to be such a costly venture. At this point, anything truly helps to ensure that I'm able to give her the best possible recovery there is. Your generosity is beyond appreciated.
