Jun Shihan Tom's Birthday Trip

Hello. I'm Tom Swiss. I have been involved with the World Seido Karate Organization since 1985. I've taught classes in Catonsville for kids and adults since 2002, and moved our program to the Catonsville Y in 2012.

The World Seido Karate Organization unites students on every continent in self and community development through the martial arts, under the leadership of Kaicho (Grandmaster) Tadashi Nakamura.

For over 40 years, the World Seido Karate Organization maintained its headquarters at the same dojo in Manhattan. Due to NYC real estate madness, they have had to move.

On January 12, 2002, the WSKO will hold its first event at its new headquarters dojo in Manhattan.

January 12th 2020 is also my 50th birthday.

So how can I not go to this marvelous party Kaicho Nakamura is throwing?

I'm giving myself a weekend in Manhattan for my 50th birthday. I'm asking for your  help to pay for the hotel room and train tickets. It's a personal celebration, but it's also an opportunity for me to join our local program more closely to the World Seido Karate Organization and to Kaicho's vision.

Thank you. Support from students, parents, friends, and sometimes random strangers, makes a real difference in my ability to keep this program going.
