On March 26, 2018, the community lost an all around amazing person. There are no words to properly describe Julius Smith, because he was so many things. He was a christian, he was kind, funny and had an amazing personality. Even though he was down on his luck and homeless at the time of his death, he was still someone's son, brother, and/or friend.
Most of all he was loved by everyone who knew him. Much like there are no words to describe the magnificent person we lost, there is no way to describe the way his family feels right now with this loss.
I had the opportunity to meet him last year when he came to a Visible Hope feeding event. He greeted us with a smile and asked was there anything he could do to help us out, which was rare because you never really run into situations like that. Every time we would see him he always had a smile on his face. He's going to be missed dearly.
This post is to raise funds for his burial expenses. We're asking everyone to donate something to help the family out in their time of need. As you know funeral expenses can be very expensive and anything to help would be greatly appreciated. We have less than 2-days to meet the projected goal of $5,000.
