Hi all! It's garbage kate / katereadsbks. Our dear friend Julie has been having intense headaches known as cluster headahces (the doctors also call them suicide headaches so uhh) for about a full year. These headaches can also make the affected side of your face droop. Over time it has gotten more frequent, more intense, and more unmanageable.
Julie has gone to the doctor a few times and has been misdiagnosed. She has been recommended to go to a neurologist but they're in short order in her area and she hasn't had health insurance. The doctors are fairly certain it's connected to her nervous system.
Yesterday I was chatting with Julie online and her symptoms flared up so badly she knew she had to go to the ER as she was in severe pain. Over the course of the night they tested for multiple things; first a spinal tap for meningitis (I've had a spinal tap and I wouldn't wish it on anyone). They also took fourdifferent MRIs to find the culprit which they weren't able. Long story short, she was not diagnosed with anything but was given a referral to a neurologist.
Here's where you come in: you can only imagine what a spinal tap and four MRIs, etc, will all cost from the ER. However, Julie had signed up with a health insurance plan which WILL COVER THIS should she be able to pay the monthly premium plus some copays. The Blue Cross and Blue Shield plan she has has a monthly premium for $712.93. I've made sure to include at least three months of the premium and an additional amount for whatever she'll require at the neurologist et al.
This money does not go to me, Kate, but into Julie's bank account, fyi.
Julie is happy to share the paperwork and/or bills and receipts if anyone is concerned about the legitimacy. I can personally vouch she has shown me and they're legit.
