To know Julie is to love Julie. She's an amazing woman with a heart of gold. Her love for all things and her positive attitude brighten everyone's days who come in contact with her.
Julie needs our help. On September 11, 2017, she was rushed to emergency surgery at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL. She had a brain aneurysm that ruptured. The surgery was successful - her aneurysm is now wrapped - and she is recovering.
This recovery will not be quick or easy for Julie or her family. It will entail her spending at least 2 weeks in ICU. After that, there will be an extended recovery period - TBD exactly what that will look like.
As we all know, medical expenses can be overwhelming. Julie has basic medical insurance, but the ER deductible itself is $5,000. Other costs will include significant doctor, hospital, rehabilitation, and other related co-pays. Additionally, Julie does not get paid when she's not working and it is unknown when she will be able to return to work.
Julie does not have the financial means to cover these medical expenses or to support her family during this time. We all know that Julie works hard to provide her son Nathaniel with the best life she can.
