Julie's battle with breast cancer

My wife Julie was diagnosed with breast cancer April 3rd and has been the sole provider for our family for the last 2 years while I've been in nursing school. We are in complete shock over the news and things have moved very fast with surgery. She will have a double mastectomy on April 29th and does not have any time built up at work from taking time off for all the doctors appointments up to this point. As a result of this she will not receive an income while she is out to recover. The Doctor thinks that this cancer may be more invasive (we will know more after surgery) and may require chemo therapy afterwards. She does not want to take any chances of this returning in the future. Julie has been a nurse since 2003 and has lovingly taken such good care of so many. She continues this at home making sure all of our family is taken care of before herself. The main concern of our family is that she has peace of mind and is able to recover without the worry of our financial situation. All donations will go towards medical expenses and to help our family (Andres, Alexis, and Marissa) survive during her possible 2 month recovery!
