Julie Rodriguez

Julie Rodriguez is a strong, selfless, kind and devoted friend, mother, wife and physical therapist that is on a long journey back to health. We never knew that she was silently suffering through headaches, impaired vision, fatigue and malaise. She is the true meaning of tough and continued putting others needs before her own up until it was no longer possible. Julie was at work on Thursday January 25, 2018 and never complained. She continued to giggle and smile and laugh. She causally mentioned that she was having difficulty seeing and that it was difficult to type on the computer, but she did it anyway.
With much encouragement from a fellow therapist, Julie reluctantly went to the Urgent Care on Friday. She was immediately referred to Parker Adventist hospital for a MRI. Julie continued to think that she would soon be returning home to her children and normal life. That all changed when a doctor showed her a picture of her brain.....with tumor larger than a golf ball causing a 1 inch shift in her brain and impingement on her optic nerve.   A scan of her lung revealed the primary source of the problem. Julie was diagnosed with Stage 4 adenocarcinoma with brain metastasis. She underwent a craniotomy with removal of the brain tumor on Sunday January 28, 2018. She is home now, resting and awaiting pathology results.  Her team of doctors will advise her on the next course of treatment.
To say that Julie is a wonderful person is an understatement. She is the BEST at every role she plays in life. Please consider donating to Julie and her family. Help give her some peace of mind. Allow her to focus on what is most important to her ...her health, family and faith and not on the financial aspect of her treatment.  Julie is out of work indefinitely and would greatly appreciate any monetary support you can give her, her husband and their 3 children. Please respect their privacy and allow her time to process and handle all the overwhelming news.  Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.
