My name is Julie Castell and I have been hit with a huge financial setback. The weekend before Thanksgiving, I took a bad fall on the steps leading to my apartment. My neighbors came out and called for an ambulance since I couldn't move. I had fractured my hip and femur. As soon as I arrived at the hospital, I was taken to emergency surgery to secure rods in my left hip and femur.

I spent 10 days in the hospital followed by 6 weeks in a skilled nursing facility. I haven't been able to work since November; thus, I've exhausted all my savings. I need financial help with my rent and monthly bills.

Not working has been a huge step backward, both emotionally and mentally. I am a single gal who is used to providing for herself. To say I am fiercely independent is an understatement. Now it's been 7 weeks since I have been bedridden and the rent and bills don't stop coming due. The stress is never-ending. Once the financial stress is alleviated, I can focus solely on healing.
