Julia on Mission

My name is Julia Lof, I am a Canadian who is living in South Africa. Last year I went to Durban, South Africa to do a Discipleship Training School (DTS) through Youth With a Mission (YWAM). Through the year I learned so much about God and his love for every single one of his children in this whole world. I discovered my own identity, strengths, weaknesses and my calling to go into the world and show people the life that Jesus brings and how much he loves them. I stayed in South Africa for ten months and fell in love with this country. God has called me to this nation for a season to serve the community at YWAM Durban and the city of Durban as a whole. I had the chance to stay an extra four months after my DTS finished and in this time was able to see what I could do when I return to Durban for a longer season and that's why I am applying for a three year visa.
I am starting this next journey to South Africa in September with a course called Leadership Training School for six weeks through YWAM in Cape Town. This will give me more practical head knowledge in the area of leadership, and guidance from God for the upcoming years.
In the upcoming years I will be working at YWAM Durban with the Discipleship schools and with the art team at the base. I was part of the music worship and photography at the base this past year and was able to develop the skills I believe God has given me. As I grew in these passions I saw more how I am able to use them to further Gods kingdom. As well as working with YWAM Durban I plan to reach out into the community and partner with organizations already in place in some of the townships, working with children and young adults.
I am needing sponsorship to make any of this happen and am trusting that with Gods guidance he will align this mission with your heart.
The cost of living in South Africa is on average $10-$15 a day for accomodation and food.
On average it costs about $550 a month to live comfortably, this amount includes transportation, food, accomodation, and the other basic necessities of living.
I am looking for people that feel led to sponsor me monthly, but any help that you are able to provide is so gratefully appreciated. I am trusting God for every cent of this upcoming years and am excited for the opportunity to do so.
