Julian Koch and Family

On April 30th, 2017, Sarah, JR, Gavin, Ryder, Kahlia, and Baylee welcomed Julian Ryland Koch into their family.

On Tuesday, May 23, 2017, Sarah and JR noticed little Julian turn blue. They rushed him to Moose Jaw Regional Hospital where they were rushed via ambulance to Regina. There they diagnosed him with bronchitis. The paediatrician notice a mumur also so he odered an echo just to be safe. The tests from the echo determined Julian has AVSD. This means he is was born without the valves in his heart causing his heart to work hearder then it should. Right now he is on oxygen for a few hours a day and medication to help the pressure on his heart.

Treatment will entail open heart surgery and possibly medication the rest of his life. They don't know when the surgery will be yet, but travel to Edmonton will be in the plan. For now the kids are visiting Sarah and Julian in Regina as often as they can.
