A Celebration of Life — Juliana Morais Keshishian
Juliana was known for her larger than life laugh that lit up any room she entered with joy.
On the evening of 18 June 2020, aged 22, Juliana was tragically involved in a fatal crash as a rear seat passenger in Otley, Yorkshire.
Having just graduated from University of Leeds with a first-class honours degree in Arabic, Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies, Juliana planned to pursue a career in international relations. She was also passionate about humanitarian causes. During her university years she volunteered with the Adventist Help Organisation, working with Afghan refugees at the Oynofita Refugee Camp in Greece, where she found the experience meaningful and deeply rewarding.
Juliana’s funeral will be held at the Stanborough Park Seventh-day Adventist Church, Watford, on 9 July 2020 at 10.45 a.m. GMT. It will be live-streamed from the church’s website https://stanboroughpark.adventistchurch.org.uk/watch. For those who cannot watch it live, a recording can be accessed from the same link shortly afterwards.
Juliana will be remembered by her friends and family as a bubbly, gregarious, thoughtful and generous young woman. The funds collected in her memory will be donated to two humanitarian charities for which she fundraised and volunteered: Adventist Development & Relief Agency (ADRA-UK), and Refugee Support Europe.
Juliana’s parents, Arto and Mirian, her brother, Philipe, as well as her extended family, have been overwhelmed by your expressions of love and sympathy. Though they may be unable to respond individually, please know that they find comfort in reading your heartwarming recollections of Juliana and deeply appreciate your ongoing support through prayer.
