Julian Sullivan’s Recovery

On March 27th, our friend Julian Sullivan was in a devastating motorcycle accident. He was riding on route 33 when he lost control of his bike, went off the road, and crashed. In critical condition, Julian was airlifted to a Ventura hospital. 

After a 10 hour surgery and extensive testing, it has been confirmed that Julian has been paralyzed from the waist down and is still in intensive care. We do not yet know the full extent of his injuries, and what will be required to treat them in the short and long term, but there is a long road ahead of him. 

Anyone who has met Julian knows that he is a caring brother, son, friend, and drummer for the local band Freedom of Expression. He has worked as a personal trainer serving the Ventura and Santa Barbara areas for over 20 years, and is an active member of the Ventura County community.

As I’m sure you all know, the costs associated with this type of injury are both unavoidable and overwhelming. With that in mind, we are asking for donations to his recovery fund.

Your donations will go toward:

-Medical bills, including the emergency airlift, hospital costs, surgeries, physical therapy, and ongoing treatments.

-General bills. As a personal trainer, Julian’s work is dependent on his physical health. With no word yet how long Julian will be in the hospital, the financial burden is extreme. 

-Handicap accommodation, such as wheelchair ramps, hand rails, and handicap transportation. His current residence is not handicap accessible, and it’s going to take some work to modify and adjust his surroundings to support him.
