I am setting up this Gofundme account to assist my granddaughter Julia, who is 16 yrs. old, to attend the high school mission trip sponsored by Liquid Church. This trip will be taking place August 12 thru August 18, 2018.
The heart of Liquid Church is to serve our neighbors-in-need locally and globally. We’re excited to partner with Handfuls of Hope as we head to the Dominican Republic on our Liquid High School Missions Trip. This is a great opportunity for Julia to step out of her comfort zone and into a life-changing adventure. Get ready to see God work in ways you may not have experienced before!
Julia Marie has a passion to attend this student mission trip to work with the children in the orphanages who are underprivalidged and in need of so much help and assistance. She will also be preforming skits & programs at the orphanages and villages her team will also be visiting.
Liquid Church is partnering with Handfuls of Hope because of their experience in the mission field and their commitment to breaking the cycle of poverty in the Dominican Republic – through education and the life-changing power that comes through faith in Jesus Christ. We will be working side-by-side with the local church to invest in the communities such as Catalina in building long term relationships and making a lasting impact.
With Julia attending this mission trip, it will help her to build her self-esteem as well as, give her the opportunity to experience these childrens' lives and discover why and how they live that way. They may have heard the name of Jesus, but a re-proclamation of the Gospel is desperately needed, too. Julia wants to walk in the shoes of another, she wants to see what God is doing in other parts of the world.
