Executive Summary – Julia Styles, a feature film by Sandra Smith

Julia Styles is a comedy-drama feature film set in Los Angeles, Louisiana and New York. This low-budget production takes the viewer on a comical trek
cross-country—exploring the dating scene in search for love over age 50 in all the wrong places.  This film has all elements to attractive audiences both domestic
and international. It greatly appeals to the ever-growing baby-boomer
population, which is quickly fading (if not forgotten) in most major
motion film—who seek to relive their ‘youthful and playful energy’ once again.
Thus, Julia Styles will enhance its profitability and attract critical acceptance. The director’s long-term goal for this film is to launch an Academy Award campaign.

A sexy, poised and powerful TV Talk Show host, Julia Styles and her best friend
Candice set off on coast-to-coast journey in search of love (over 50) in all the
wrong places.

Synopsis

A fearless and exceedingly successful TV Talk Show Host, Julia Styles creator of
the ever so popular Julia Styles Show has it all— the accolades, the money, the big house in Beverly Hill Flats, beach getaway in Malibu, the cars, the wardrobe, the
drippings and flossy-attitude deliciously packaged.

The Julia Styles Show is crushing the rating!
After another incredibly fabulous show Julia’s boss announces to everyone on set that Julia has been nominated for the most prestigious Daytime Awards—The
Lexi for Outstanding Talk Show Host. Excitement and cheers fill the
studio. Julia in boastful style, slightly bows her head, hands to pray position to
give thanks, winks an eye across the set to best friend and producer, Candice
– “girl, we got this.”

After a long night of celebrating, Julia wakes up to reality—she’s reached the
pinnacle of her career, she’s a Lexi Award nominee, and she is turning the big 5-0!  Frantically, Julia realizes—she is single, unattached and worse—she is alone and
missing that one true love to share her life with.

As any supportive best friend would do, Candice concocts a (devious) plan to find Julia a man and a few good men for herself. Take a cross-country excursion from
Los Angeles to New York to Louisiana with Julia and Candice in their quest to find true love.  But, the two friends quickly discover love in all the worry places,
including a possible murder. Only to learn that if Julia stopped to appreciate life around her—what she is truly is seeking is awaiting her at home.
