JULES RALLY AGAINST CANCER!

Three weeks ago, Jules was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic syndromes, a form of Leukemia. Jules was required to begin an aggressive form of treatment immediately.
He has begun his first round of chemotherapy, and will soon need to spend quite some time in Halifax to continue treatment. Jules will require a bone marrow transplant.
We are currently seeking a match for his transplant, and are hopeful that one of his siblings will be a match. We are awaiting results. If we do not find a match, he will be placed on a waiting list. Cancer is always time sensitive.
Jules is and has always been a man’s man. He is a very hard worker. In fact, he continued to work right after his first round of chemotherapy to ensure he can provide for his family. He ignored the aches, the pains, the nausea, and the fatigue. He is our ROCK. Jules works long days, and at times in less favorable weather conditions (he’s a contractor). However, Jules will no longer be able to work as his health is unwholesome.
Jules has now been hospitalized, and is in isolation. We are not sure at this time what exactly is going on, but what we do know is that his platelets and cells are not doing so well. He also has lesions that have been appearing on his skin, and despite being medicated, these lesions continue to appear.
The doctors have taken a biopsy to identify the cause of these lesions.
Jules cannot possibly continue to work (despite him wanting to). The absolute last thing he needs to worry about is his financial responsibilities that continue to pile up and need to be met. In addition, there will be additional expenses for medications, travel, and being away from home for months.
It’s so heartbreaking to think how financial stress has and will continue to take a toll on his health.
A life is worth so much more than any money in this entire world. We need him, please help If you can.
Jules needs to be as strong as he’s ever been. Any amount makes a difference, and if you are not able to donate – please keep him in your thoughts and prayers!! We will take all positive vibes we can get.
