TN Mafia Jug Band Gotta Get Rollin'
Friends, there's nothin' we love more than picking up our instruments and sharing a couple of hours of good, clean fun with YOU ... a little song, a little dance, and a good dose of downhome humor, (most of which we've stolen from the likes of the old Roy Acuff Show, Hee Haw, Bashful Brother Oswald, Stringbean, Grandpa Jones and others!).
The Tennessee Mafia Jug Band has been called "the most entertaining 'blast from the past' since Lester Moran and the Cadillac Cowboys" and we're mighty proud of that ... whatever it means!
Many of you know that we lost a founding member earlier this year, our dear "Lonesome" Lester Armistead. It was an awful blow and we'll always be grateful to our friends and fans who cried with us, prayed with us and sent love and support. It was a tough time, for sure, but one of the last things Lester insisted was this:
"Keep the music playing!"
Well, that's just what we intend to do!
Our frolicking fivesome is determined to continue brightening up stages with rib-tickling old time tunes, corny jokes and slapstick gags. We need your help to keep the zany hijinks and hot picking on the road.
THE SOLES OF OUR FEET ARE ABOUT WORN OUT WITH THIS OLD "FLINTSTONES MOBILE" WE'VE BEEN PEDDLIN'! AND WE'RE AFRAID THE WEIGHT OF ERNIE'S BASS IS GONNA DROP THAT THING RIGHT THROUGH THE FLOORBOARD! WE'VE GOT A BRAND NEW CD IN THE WORKS ... AND IF YOU'VE PAID FOR STUDIO TIME LATELY AND ONE OF THEM SMARTY PANTS E-LECTONIC SOUND ENGINEERS, WELL YOU KNOW THAT THERE AIN'T A LOT LEFT OVER FOR FUEL AND A VEHICLE. WE NEED A RESPECTABLE "JUG MOBILE" TO TAKE THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD TO NEW AUDIENCES ... AND TO YOU! SO, WE HUMBLY INVITE YOU TO BECOME AN "HONORARY JUG BAND MEMBER" BY DONATING TO THE CAUSE!
