Judy's Medical Fund & Denver Trip

Many of you were aware of Judy's unexpected open heart surgery and double bypass in March of 2017. You rallied behind her, and the entire family. Gratitude for each prayer, kind word, meal, card and positive thought is still fresh in our hearts. Judy graduated her rehab with flying colors just a few weeks ago.
Apparently life has decided it's time for a new battle, as she has been diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. The cancer has metastasized to her liver and other areas of her body. She will begin Chemo next Wednesday. While curing this is not an option, slowing and hopefully stoping the growth is. She will begin Chemo on 8/9.
So many of you have asked what more you can do to help- we are grateful beyond words. Most importantly are the positive thoughts, cards,visits, an occassional meal and well wishes to know she is not alone in her battle.
The thought of asking anyone for more is tough for us- all the support you have provided has been beautiful. The reality is that Dad will stop working and focus on Mom's care, and while the family will do everything in our power to ensure money is not a concern, we don't think we can do it alone.
All funds gathered will be used to cover general and medical expenses, as well as getting mom and dad to a special event in early 2018. Judy's late Uncle - Vance Kirkland has an Art Museum with his namesake - and there will be a re-opening of the museum that is in the process of a move in location and brand new building: http://www.kirklandmuseum.org/
