Juanita’s Medical Treatment
Donation protected
Hello everyone! My name is Blanca, and I am creating a campaign to help Juanita—a friend who has become like a second mother to me—who was recently diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis.
Juanita and I met when I got my job as the technology teacher at the vocational school in Jiquilillo, Nicaragua village. When I got there, I didn’t know anyone except my supervisor, who introduced me to Juanita, the sweetest and kindest person I know ❤️. Those first days, Juanita welcomed me, as stranger, into her home without hesitation. During the time that I was working in Jiquilillo, she accepted me like a daughter and as part of her family, which I appreciate with all my heart. With her recent diagnosis, this time I want to open this gofund.me to help her.
Knee osteoarthritis occurs when the cartilage in the knee joint wears out. As a result, the bones in that area rub together, and the friction creates knee pain, as the area becomes stiff and can swell.
This is especially painful for Juanita, who has to walk over 2.6 km to work everyday. This can add up to over an hour walk round-trip, which irritates and exacerbates her physical condition.
The doctor has prescribed a treatment, which involves extracting and transfusing her blood plasma through direct injection into the knees, improving the condition.
Each injection costs about $80 dollars.
Juanita is very hardworking. However, being a single mother, she cannot afford this treatment plan, which is why I created this campaign
Please donate if you can and share!
