Juan Sanchez- Family Man

Donation protected

Juan Sanchez, a selfless man, a husband, a father of three young kids, a brother, a son, a police officer, and an amazing friend.

Sanchez was driving his 200 mile commute to his PD when he had a seizure.  Sanchez crashed, drove the wrong way on the I-5 freeway, then was parked on the wrong side of the freeway all without any memory of it happening.  Amazingly, no one was hurt.

The doctors found a cancerous brain tumor and a secondary thyroid tumor.   The surgeon successfully removed the brain tumor, but it has "roots" as the surgeon cannot take "extra" since it is Sanchez's brain.   The official diagnosis is glioblastoma (GBM).  Wikipedia states GBM is the most aggressive cancer within the brain and if you continue reading about GBM, your heart will be even heavier for Sanchez and his family.

Sanchez will be seeking treatment (No cure though) through City of Hope.  Thankfully it is near his residence.

Sanchez is policing because it is a more than a job or career.  Policing for him is a calling.  Sanchez is the kind of person you want serving the community,  Sanchez takes on violent offenders, helps grandma cross the street, and is that "go to guy" that serves with integrity.  I know this to be a fact because I served with him years ago and until this diagnosis, we were partners at our PD, my housemate in town, and an even better friend.

I have Sanchez's permission to put up this Go Fund Me as I am pleading with everyone to donate, pray, and send good thoughts to Sanchez and his family.  The money raised by this Go Fund Me page will go to Sanchez's family for all they see fit.  This includes, medical bills, fun activities (Creating memories that include restarants, Disneyland, hikes, and so forth).  Also, for setting up pre-payment of flowers, videos, and other deliveries for special life events in the future for his wife and children even though Sanchez may not be there for those events.

For those of us that are local, food, rides to places, yard work, and just visiting are great ways to pitch in as well.

Please give generously.
