Hello friends, thank you for reading and taking the time to be here. Whether you know me or not, I'm Mafe, Juan Pablo's sister. He was recently detained, and I'm going to tell you how drastically his situation in this country changed. Just a few days ago, he fell victim to ICE, as you can imagine. He was beaten, chased, and imprisoned without just cause, since they were looking for someone else and took him instead. Now he's very scared and has no support other than mine and a few close friends. I just wanted to ask you to open your hearts and think about the situation he's going through there.

As Hispanics, you know that the persecution is getting worse and worse, and as some of us might say, "today for me, tomorrow for you." I would be grateful if you could give whatever your heart desires and your budget allows to cover all the legal fees, bail, and his basic personal belongings, since they charge for everything there.

I am eternally grateful for any help you can provide, as unfortunately we do not have sufficient resources to cover everything involved in this situation. I hope, God willing, to have my brother free again soon so he can continue working towards his dreams and goals. He is a sensible, responsible young man, an excellent brother, a wonderful person who does not deserve to be there unjustly.
