Juan Mezquite & Family fire relief fund

In the wake of the fires that have devastated the Rogue Valley and beyond, the level of widespread love and support shown to those who lost everything, be it through donations or volunteer work, has been an inspiration and is proof of our community’s ability to come together in a time of unimaginable loss.

We now kindly ask that you support a beloved member of the Hearsay family as well.

Juan Mezquite and his parents lost their home and nearly all of their possessions in Talent last week. Juan has been a major key to the success of Hearsay over the last four years. He is also a beloved employee of Agave, who saw more than half of their employees also lose their homes in the Almeda/Glendower fire.

Hearsay regulars and visitors who have been lucky enough to meet Juan during his time as an expediter know just how kind, professional, and attentive he is. We’re incredibly grateful for Juan at Hearsay, but those who know him as a friend or family member outside of work are just as lucky to know his kindness first hand.

Like so many, Juan and his family had almost no time to save any of their possessions. With housing extremely limited, they are currently living with many other displaced families under the same roof, with the looming prospect that they will soon need to find new temporary housing.

All donations in support of Juan and his family’s effort to rebuild are greatly appreciated. Thank you to all of our patrons for showing so much love and support to our employees like Juan over the years, who are dedicated to ensuring Hearsay remains a local favorite.
