I am Alejandro Gallegos, and I live here in Columbus, Ohio, originally from Mexico. I worked with Juan, I knew him very well, and was with him the day of the accident. As the organizer of this campaign, I plan to use the funds raised to pay for all the expenses as explained below. Any remaining funds will be spent towards expenses the family needs along the way, using the money on their behalf, by their direction. Thanks again for all of you that have given and shared this. It is very much appreciated by myself and the family has expressed overwhelming gratitude for your generosity!
On Saturday, December 2nd, Juan Carlos Ortiz was involved in a tragic construction accident where he lost his life. His family has travelled from Michoacán, Mexico to transport his body home, where his family can properly grieve their loss.
The estimated transport and funeral costs exceed $20,000, not including the travelling expenses the family has incurred already. This is a very tough time for them, especially during the holiday season.
Juan Carlos has a daughter, Carla, 6 years old. He also has two brothers and two sisters that need our help in getting their brothers body home. This ofcourse is not something we can wait on, and the funds are urgently needed in able for this to all be done the way it should be.
His family and friends greatly appreciate anything you can give to help them financially through this challenge.

El Sábado, 2 de Diciembre, Juan Carlos Ortiz estuvo involucrado en un trágico accidente de construcción en el que perdió la vida. Su familia viajó desde Michoacán, México, para transportar su cuerpo a su hogar, donde su familia puede sufrir su pérdida.
Los costos estimados de transporte y funeral superan los $20,000, sin incluir los gastos de viaje en los que ya ha incurrido la familia. Este es un momento muy difícil para ellos, especialmente durante la temporada de vacaciones.
Juan Carlos tiene una hija, Carla, de 6 años. También tiene dos hermanos y dos hermanas que necesitan nuestra ayuda para que sus hermanos lleguen a casa. Por supuesto, esto no es algo en lo que podamos esperar, y los fondos se necesitan con urgencia para poder hacer todo esto de la manera que debería ser.
