<div>Los que han tenido la oportunidad de compartir con mi papá lo describen como un profesional responsable, un ciudadano fiel a sus valores, un amigo empático, como un padre y esposo abnegado, comprensivo y preocupado por nuestro bienestar. <strong>Mi papá para mí</strong>, es un ejemplo de solidaridad y apoyo incondicional, él daría la vida para ayudarnos, pero <strong>esta vez nos necesita para ganarle la lucha al cáncer.</strong>

<div>Hace 4 años Juan Carlos fue diagnosticado con <strong>Linfoma de Hodgkin</strong>, al recibir esta noticia sentimos el miedo a la incertidumbre de lo que pasaría. La persona que siempre había luchado por nosotros, ahora tenía que luchar contra esa palabra tan temida: cáncer. Con miedo y todo él afrontó el desafío y me enseñó una gran lección de fortaleza y resiliencia.

<div> Sabíamos que rendirnos no era una opción y afortunadamente logramos salir adelante gracias a la ayuda de nuestra familia y amigos para costear el tratamiento: Traslados, medicinas, exámenes médicos y el apoyo que necesitaba mi papá para cumplir con todo el ciclo, en ese momento ganamos la batalla.

<div><strong>En noviembre de 2020</strong> un ganglio en su cuello volvió a crecer, hasta el punto de impedirle hablar cómodamente, con mucho dolor fue llevado de urgencia a una clínica para poder saber qué ocurría, el día <strong>05 de diciembre de 2020</strong> tuvo su operación donde fue extirpado el ganglio infectado junto a uno que estaba por infectarse, también lograron hacer biopsia y aspirado de médula ósea para dar con el diagnóstico. <strong>Para el 2021 ya habia terminado su proceso de quimioterapia y debia iniciar con su transplante de médula, el cual no fue posible de hacer por riesgos, pandemia y miedo.</strong>

<div><strong>En agosto de 2023 notamos que mi papá estaba muy bajo de peso, muy delgado y con otros ganglios inflamados, asi que se decidió hacer examenes de sangre, colonoscopia, biopsias y tomografías.</strong>

<div><strong>Hoy nos toca ganar la lucha, de una vez por todas.</strong> <strong>El cáncer volvió a aparecer, además de tener otras afecciones como polipo en el colon, anemia y ascitis</strong> y aunque mi papá es fuerte, necesita cuidados que como hija no puedo costear sola. Tengo que admitir que el miedo sigue allí, que quisiera ser tan fuerte como mi papá, que quiero estar allí con él y asegurarme por su bienestar como él lo hace conmigo, y al estar lejos de él en Perú, tratando de buscar un futuro mejor para él y para mi,<strong> se me hace imposible apoyarlo sin ayuda de otros.</strong>

<div>Mi papá inicio proceso de quimio en diciembre 2023, luego tocará dos ciclos mas en enero y febrero 2024.

<div><strong>Mi papá está en Venezuela</strong>, un país que atraviesa una crisis sanitaria y económica muy grave, donde hay escasez de medicamentos, gasolina y donde todo está dolarizado, el sueldo mínimo mensual es poco más de $3.

<div>En definitiva, enfermarse en Venezuela es algo muy duro. 
</div>

<div>Pero sé que rendirnos no es ni será una opción, por eso apuesto a que, si en algún momento has compartido conmigo o con mi papá, nos acompañes y nos ayudes con un aporte económico o difusión para GANARLE LA LUCHA CONTRA EL CANCER. No importa que tan grande o pequeño sea, todo suma, todo servirá para ayudar a mi papá.

<div>Four years ago, Juan Carlos was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Upon receiving this news we felt fearful and uncertainty for what would happen. The person who had always fought for us now has to fight that dreaded word: cancer. With fear and everything he faced the challenge has taught me a great lesson in strength and resilience.

<div>We knew that giving up was not an option and fortunately we managed to get ahead thanks to the help of our family and friends who paid for the treatment: Transfers, medicines, medical exams and the support my father needed to complete the cycle. WE didn’t know the, but we only won the battle.

<div>Last November 2020, a ganglion in his neck grew again, to the point of preventing him from speaking comfortably. Givne his pain, we rushed him to a clinic. On December 5, 2020 he had his operation where the infected lymph node was removed along with one that was about to become infected. The doctors managed to perform a biopsy and bone marrow aspirate. The costs of surgery and hospitalization have been very high and now he will have to begin chemotherapy treatment.

<div>Today, we have to win the fight. The cancer re-appeared and although my father is strong, he needs care that as a daughter I cannot afford on my own. I have to admit that fear is still there; I want to be as strong as my dad. I want to be there with him and ensure his well-being as he does with me. Since I’m away from him in Peru, trying to find a better future for him and for me, it is impossible for me to support him without support from others.

<div>My father is in Venezuela, a country that is going through a very serious health and economic crisis. There is a shortage of food, medicine, gasoline and where everything is dollarized, the minimum monthly salary is little more than $3. In short, getting sick in Venezuela is very hard.
